Date stamp is an injection mold component used for traceability of plastic products such as auto parts and plastic toys. It is a cylinder of metal consisting of an outer ring and an inner arrow. The inner arrows can be turned to indicate different positions of the characters on the outer ring.

• Front removable inserts have a replaceable spring to help keep the inner insert from moving during molding
• Indexable inserts have "captured spring" in the outer insert and a ball detent on the inner insert to help lock the inner insert in position
