Many plastic parts feature detailed threads that make traditional bump-off ejection methods impractical. To prevent thread damage, these components must be unscrewed from the mold. External threads can be parted and molded in both mold halves, while internal threads require collapsible cores or specialized unscrewing molds.

We design both internal and external threads for custom plastic parts during the injection molding process using advanced unscrewing mold technology. Injection molded threads offer superior strength compared to tapped threads, with tighter tolerances and smoother surfaces than thread-cutting machining can achieve.
