Application Description
A steel device that molds materials into specific shapes, where the section engaged in opening/closing movement is called a core plate. This rear-side component typically leaves traces on parts due to ejector pin mechanisms that push finished components out of the mold.
The rear half of the injection mold mounts to a movable platen that slides along tie bars, creating the negative image of the desired part that appears on the rear side above the parting line during injection molding. The cavity steels contain the gate and typically a portion of the runner system.
