Ejector pins are a critical component to the injection molding process. An ejector pin is driven into the rear of a mold cavity to force the finished piece out and is also often referred to as a knockout pin.
Ejector pins are used in the plastic molding and die casting dies. They are a fixed element used to create a void providing the desired shape in the molded or cast part. It is often easier to machine a core pin as a separate element and add it to the A-side or B-side as needed.
Ejector sleeve in a mold is to eject either an entire finish molded piece part or applyejection force to some portion of the molded piece part to assist with part ejection, in combination with other ejection features designed into the mold.

When the sleeve ejector pin is produced, it is generally necessary to spray rust inhibitor to prevent rust. During use, if the mold is left unused for a long time, it should also be protected against rust. The sleeve pin has a wear-resistant property after nitriding treatment, and the durable hot work die steel is resistant to high temperatures of 1200 degrees or more.
